Why we chose this

This is the back version of the compression ice wraps we already carry for the knee, ankle, and shoulder - the same idea of pairing hot or cold gel therapy with a snug, adjustable fit, scaled up for the lower back. We chose it because the inflatable air chamber lets you set the compression by feel with a couple of pumps rather than wrestling with straps, which is genuinely easier when hand strength is limited. The oversized gel pack works hot or cold from the same wrap, and the splints keep it sitting where you want it instead of sliding as you move.

Good to know

  • The pump-inflated air chamber is the easy part - a few pumps set the pressure without cinching straps tightly, and the push-release valve lets it off fast.
  • The same gel pack works for cold (freeze at least two hours) or heat (microwave in 5-second intervals, kneading and checking the temperature between).
  • The cover isn’t removable, so spot clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry fully before the next use.

The Compression Back Ice Wrap combines cold or heat therapy with adjustable compression for the lower back. An oversized Arctic Flex gel pack sits in a back pocket and stays flexible when frozen so it contours to the body; the same pack can be gently warmed for heat therapy.

The neoprene wrap adds a level of adjustable support a plain gel pack can’t: three aluminum splints help it follow the contours of the back, exterior compression straps let you set the fit, and a built-in inflatable air chamber with a small hand pump dials in the pressure - a push-release valve deflates it in seconds. The hand pump clips onto the wrap with a detachable fabric strap.

The wrap measures 40” x 8” and fits waist sizes up to 50” with the included 8” extender, for men or women, worn over light clothing or against the skin. Includes the wrap, Arctic Flex gel pack, extender strap, and pump strap. Spot clean with a damp cloth and air dry - do not machine wash or dry.

How To Use For Cold Therapy:
Place the Arctic Flex gel pack in the freezer or refrigerate on a flat surface for a minimum of two hours
Secure the frozen gel pack in the back ice wrap pocket

How to Use for Heat Therapy:
Place the pack in the microwave on a paper towel or paper plate. The gel pack may be folded in half to fit in smaller microwaves.
Heat at full power in 5-second intervals
Remove the gel pack carefully from the microwave and knead to distribute heat evenly. Check for desired temperature
To reheat, place the gel pack back in the microwave at 5-second intervals until desired temperature is reached
Secure the heated gel pack in the back ice wrap
