Why we chose this

The challenge with bathtub entry isn't just height - it's the combination of stepping over a rim with wet feet and compromised balance that is common with PwP. A 4" step reduces that height differential at exactly the moment it matters most. We chose this step because the numbers are right: a 19.5" base wide enough to land on comfortably, rubber feet that don't shift underfoot, and ADA-compliant at 400 lb capacity.

Good to know

  • The step is designed to be used outside the bathtub rather than inside it - placing it inside the tub is not recommended.
  • Many PwP find it most useful positioned right at the tub edge, creating a midpoint step to transition up before stepping over the rim.
  • Sold in a 2-pack: some users place both steps side by side for a wider landing platform.

The Bath Step is a low-profile platform that reduces the effective step height into a bathtub or shower. At 4" high with a 19.5" wide base, it provides a stable intermediate step for tub entry and exit. The textured non-slip rubber surface gives secure footing in wet conditions; rubber feet underneath keep the step firmly in place on tile or bathroom floors without shifting.

Made from reinforced molded plastic, the step is ADA compliant and supports up to 400 lbs. At 3.2 lbs, it's light enough to move and store easily between uses. No assembly required - ready to use straight out of the box.

Sold as a 2-pack, allowing placement at both the tub entry and exit, or across two bathrooms. Backed by a lifetime guarantee.
