Why we chose this

Getting up from a seated position is one of the daily challenges many PwP navigate - particularly when sitting low, or when morning stiffness is at its peak. We chose this cushion because the design does the work quietly: the sloped foam raises the sitting position and makes the forward shift to standing require noticeably less effort. The non-slip base means it stays put, which matters when you are rising and need the surface underneath you to be stable.

The Easy Rise Cushion is a 5-inch high-density foam seat cushion designed to help with the sit-to-stand transition. Its profile makes it easier to shift your weight forward and push to standing, while the non-slip base keeps it securely in place. Made from high-density foam with a soft polyester cover, it fits most chairs, sofas, and vehicles. The removable cover is machine washable, making it straightforward to keep clean.

At 19" x 18" and 2 lb, it provides meaningful lift without being heavy or bulky to move.

Place the cushion on a firm chair or seat with the non-slip base facing down. Sit on the cushion as normal. When ready to stand, shift your weight forward and push up as usual. Remove the cover before washing.
