We chose this belt because the plastic side-release buckle is genuinely easier to manage than a metal threaded buckle - it clicks shut in a second and releases with one hand, which matters when someone is mid-transfer or a helper's own hands are tired. The grip loops are the other reason: they let the person assisting change their hold depending on whether they're guiding from behind or stabilizing from the side. Cotton webbing sits more comfortably against the body than stiff nylon over long sessions.

The belt is made from 2" wide 100% cotton webbing and adjusts to fit, with excess length secured neatly out of the way. Tested to support up to 350 lbs.

Fasten around the waist over clothing with the buckle at the front, similar to a regular belt. Tighten so the belt is snug but a flat hand still slides underneath. Secure excess strap length. The person assisting takes hold of the grip loops - never the clothing - and stays close during the movement. Not intended for lifting a person's full body weight unaided.
