Why we chose this

A lot of the day's difficulties concentrate at night, and protecting the mattress is one of the few parts of that you can sort out in advance and then stop thinking about. We chose this one for two specific reasons. First, it goes on like an ordinary fitted sheet - no straps to thread underneath the mattress or clips to line up at the corners, which matters because wrestling a mattress is an awkward, two-handed, whole-body job. Second, it is genuinely quiet: plenty of waterproof protectors crackle every time you shift position, and that is the difference between a protector you keep on the bed and one that ends up in a cupboard.

Good to know

  • Many PwP find that stripping and remaking a bed is one of the more physically awkward household jobs - if someone can fit the protector for you once, it then stays put and only needs changing on wash days.
  • Worth knowing that the low-heat drying instruction is not optional: medium or high heat damages the waterproof lining, so it is best setting the dryer before starting rather than after.
  • Give it a wash before the first use - it softens the knit surface noticeably.
  • If you are buying to fit over an existing topper, measure the total depth rather than the mattress alone, as the pockets run 14" to 16".

Size

Spills, perspiration, and night-time accidents happen, and when they do the difference between a quick wash and a ruined mattress is a single layer of fabric. This protector sits under your normal sheet and keeps liquid off the mattress itself, so sorting things out in the morning means stripping bedding rather than dealing with the mattress.

It goes on like an ordinary fitted sheet - no straps to thread under the corners, no clips to line up, nothing to fasten. Deep pockets of 14" to 16" hold it in place depending on size. The sleep surface is a soft polyester knit that lets air move through, and the waterproof lining underneath is a polyurethane laminate that stays quiet: no crinkle or rustle when you move. It is vinyl-free.

Machine wash with warm or hot water using a normal detergent, then tumble dry on low heat only - higher heat damages the waterproof lining. No bleach, no ironing, no dry cleaning. Wash before first use. Available in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and Cal King. White.

  • Slips on like a standard fitted sheet — no straps, clips, or fasteners to manage
  • Blocks liquid with a vinyl-free polyurethane laminate lining
  • Stays quiet under the sheet — no crinkle or rustle when you move
  • Breathes through a soft polyester knit sleep surface
  • Fits six mattress sizes with 14"–16" deep pockets
  • Machine washes warm; tumble dry on low heat only

Wash before first use. Fit it directly onto the mattress like a fitted sheet, tucking each corner pocket over the mattress corner, then make the bed normally with your usual sheet on top. To clean, machine wash with warm or hot water using a normal household detergent that does not contain bleach. Tumble dry on LOW HEAT ONLY — medium or high heat will damage the waterproof lining. Do not dry clean, do not use bleach, do not iron.
