Shower Chair with Armrests
Showering standing up asks a lot - sustained balance on a wet floor, often first thing in the morning when movement is slowest. Sitting down removes most of that, but the sit-and-stand at either end becomes the hard part, which is exactly why we chose the version with armrests rather than a plain stool. The padded grips give you a fixed point to push against, and the frame is rigid enough to take that load. We also like that it is only 9 lbs and comes apart without tools, so it can be lifted out of the bath when someone else needs the tub, and the height range means it can be leveled properly rather than wobbling on a sloped shower base.
- Measure your shower or tub floor before ordering — the base is 17.75" x 17", and the chair needs to sit with all four feet flat.
- Worth setting the height so your feet rest flat on the floor with knees at roughly a right angle; that makes standing back up considerably easier than a seat set too low.
- Many PwP find a handheld shower head pairs well with a seated setup, since it removes the need to move around under a fixed head.

The Vive Shower Chair with Armrests lets you sit down for a shower rather than stay standing throughout. The armrests are the reason to choose this version over a plain shower stool - they give you something solid to push down on when lowering into the seat and rising again, which is the part of showering most people want support with.
The seat is extra-wide and contoured, with a textured surface and drainage holes so water runs off rather than pooling underneath you. The aluminum frame adjusts from 15" to 20" in height, so it can be set to suit your leg length or leveled on an uneven shower floor, and the rubber-tipped feet grip wet surfaces. At 9 lbs the whole chair is light enough to move in and out of the tub as needed, and it assembles without tools.
Supports up to 300 lbs. Wipes clean with mild soap or bathroom cleaner, then air dry fully. Mould and mildew resistant.
