Why we chose this

Traction underfoot in the tub is one of the simplest changes you can make to a bathroom, and it costs very little. We chose this one for the drainage holes and the high suction cup count - 167 cups across a 26" x 15" oval is a denser base than most mats at this price, and the holes mean soapy water runs through rather than sitting on top where it defeats the point. The lightly textured surface is a deliberate middle ground: enough grip to feel secure, not so aggressive that it is uncomfortable to sit on during a seated wash. The oval footprint is a practical choice if you want coverage where you actually stand without a full-length mat to wrestle in and out of the tub.

Good to know

  • The suction cups need a smooth, clean surface to hold - they will not grip textured, embossed, or non-slip-coated tub floors, so it is worth checking your tub before ordering.
  • Many PwP find it easier to rinse and re-press the mat rather than lifting it out after every use; leaving it down means less bending and less peeling of suction cups.
  • Worth knowing that a full wipe of the tub floor before the first install makes a real difference to how well the cups hold.
  • Air drying rather than tumble drying keeps the PVC and the cups in shape.

Color

A textured mat on the tub floor gives you something to stand or sit on that grips back. This oval mat is sized at 26" x 15" to cover the middle of a standard bathtub or shower base, and 167 suction cups on the underside hold it in place on a smooth, clean surface.

The top surface is lightly textured rather than sharply ridged, so it feels comfortable underfoot and under a seated transfer. Drainage holes run across the mat so water and soap run through instead of pooling on top. It is made from latex-free PVC that resists mould and mildew.

Machine washable in cold water with mild detergent, then air dry. Available in Clear and Blue. The oval shape suits tubs where a full-length rectangular mat is more than you need.

  • Anchors with 167 suction cups on smooth, clean tub and shower surfaces
  • Drains through multiple holes so water and soap do not pool on the surface
  • Measures 26" x 15" in an oval shape, covering the centre of a standard tub floor
  • Made from latex-free PVC that resists mould and mildew
  • Machine washes in cold water with mild detergent; air dry
  • Comes in Clear and Blue

Installing: clean the bathtub or shower floor to remove dirt and soap buildup, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a lint-free cloth. Position the mat on the tub floor and press down across the surface so the suction cups engage.

Using: step or sit on the mat as normal. The drainage holes let water and soap pass through, so nothing needs to be tipped out afterwards.

Care: machine wash in cold water with a mild detergent and air dry. Rinsing the mat and the tub floor regularly helps the suction cups keep their hold.
