Why we chose this

A grab bar is only as good as the grip it gives you, and that’s why we chose the textured version alongside our smooth Metal Grab Bar. The knurled surface holds firm when hands are wet or grip is unreliable - exactly the moments in a bathroom when steady support matters most. The five length options and vertical, horizontal, or diagonal mounting mean you can place it precisely where a transfer or turn needs support, and the 440 lb stainless steel build is genuinely reassuring to lean on.

Good to know

  • Measure the space before choosing a length - the five sizes let you match the run of wall you have, and a longer bar gives more hand positions along it.
  • The textured surface is the main reason to choose this over the smooth grab bar; if a color match matters more than grip, the smooth version comes in four finishes.
  • It installs on ceramic tile with the included hardware (the smooth bar needs extra parts for tile).
  • For a secure hold, it’s worth landing the fixings in wall studs or using heavy-duty anchors suited to the wall type.

Size

The Textured Grab Bar is a wall-mounted support rail for the bathroom, shower, or tub, with a knurled surface that gives a secure, non-slip grip even when hands are wet. Stainless steel construction resists rust and corrosion through daily shower use, and it supports up to 440 pounds.

It mounts vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, so it can go wherever support is most useful - beside the toilet, along a shower wall, or at the edge of the tub. Decorative flanges conceal the mounting hardware for a clean, brushed-nickel finish that blends with existing bathroom fittings.

Available in 12”, 16”, 18”, 24”, and 32” lengths (1.25” bar diameter, sits 2.8” from the wall). Includes six 2” screws and wall anchors; installs on fiberglass, acrylic, ceramic tile, drywall, and plaster. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild disinfectant.
