Why we chose this

Moving a leg that won’t cooperate - onto the bed at night, or into the car - is a genuinely common daily hurdle, and a rigid lifter takes the strain out of it. We chose this multi-grip version alongside our standard leg lifter because the three hand grips give real flexibility: you can grab close for leverage or further along for reach, and change hands partway through, which matters when strength and steadiness vary from moment to moment. The aluminium-reinforced strap stays rigid so it guides the leg rather than flopping, and the wide foot loop is easy to get the foot into without fiddly aiming.

The Multi-Grip Leg Lifter is a 41” reinforced nylon strap with an aluminum centre, rigid enough to lift and guide a leg without bending or collapsing mid-movement. It helps reposition a leg onto a bed, a couch, a wheelchair footrest, or into a car seat - on your own or with a caregiver’s help.

What sets this version apart is its three hand grips spaced along the strap: you can hold at the point that gives the best reach and leverage, whether you’re seated or standing, and switch grips as needed through the movement. A wide, rigid foot loop makes it easy to slip the foot in and holds any shoe size or most casts.

The strap measures 41” with 21” hand and foot loops. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Lightweight and portable, it stores easily in a bag or bedside drawer.
