Digital Scale Compatible with Smart Devices
Most bathroom scales expect you to tap them awake, wait, step off, step back on, then bend down and squint at a small display - a sequence that gets genuinely tiresome when hand steadiness, visual acuity, or standing balance varies. We chose this one because it removes nearly all of that: you step on, the number appears on a large bright screen, and it turns itself off afterwards. The 0.97" profile keeps the step up small, and the optional app history means you are not trying to memorize or write down a number while standing on a smooth surface. One caveat - the platform is glass, so where you place it matters.
- The platform is tempered glass, which is slick underfoot - many PwP find it works best on a dry, flat, hard floor within arm's reach of a wall, doorframe, or grab bar, so there is something to steady a hand against.
- Dry bare feet give a steadier reading than damp ones, and placing the scale on a rug or bath mat will throw the measurement off.
- The Vive Now app is entirely optional — the scale works as a standalone scale if you would rather not pair a phone at all.
- Clean it with a soft cloth rather than rinsing it, as the unit is not water-safe.
Weight is one of the things worth keeping an eye on over time, and this scale is built to make the checking part effortless. Step on and the reading appears on a large, bright digital display - no buttons to press, no tapping to wake it, and no stepping off and back on again. It reads in pounds, kilograms, or stones, up to 400 pounds in 0.1-pound increments, then switches itself off.
The platform is tempered glass with rounded corners and a 0.97" profile, so the step up onto it is minimal. If you want a record over time, it pairs with most iOS and Android phones through the free Vive Now app, which keeps your history with no subscription fee. Three AAA batteries are included.
- Activates the moment you step on — no buttons to press and no tapping to wake it
- Displays weight on a large, bright digital screen in pounds, kilograms, or stones
- Measures from 11 to 400 pounds (5 to 181 kg) in 0.1-pound increments
- Pairs with most iOS and Android phones through the free Vive Now app, with no subscription fee
- Sits low to the floor at 0.97" thick on a tempered glass platform, 11.81" x 12.19"
- Includes three AAA batteries and switches off automatically
Setting up: install the three AAA batteries, then place the scale on a hard, flat, dry floor. Avoid carpet, rugs, and bath mats - a soft surface underneath will affect the reading.
Weighing: step onto the platform and stand still. The reading appears on the display within moments, with no tapping or button pressing needed, and the scale switches off on its own afterwards. To change the unit between pounds, kilograms, and stones, use the unit selector on the scale.
App pairing (optional): download the free Vive Now app and follow the in-app pairing steps. The app requires iOS 8.0 or higher, or Android 5.0 or higher, and stores your measurement history with no subscription fee.
Care: clean the platform with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol or glass cleaner, then dry with a soft cloth. Do not submerge the unit in water.
